THE MARGARET RIVER TRUFFLE FARM

When Ben and Charmy started telling me about the truffle farm they were planning on starting my first thoughts were "Oh here we go, a fancy logo aimed at la de da crowds", but oh not these two! Ben and Charmy wanted their bi-line to be "Truffles done Different" and this was to reflect throughout the entire brand - I was excited!

Ben's love of bright colour got me thinking of how awesome bright colours can work on dark black, making them jump off the page. Gone are the traditional browns, greens and golds of truffle branding, replaced by in your face, but subtle, bright colour. This was incorporated by utilising the awesome patterns that are inside such an unassuming "lump" that is the truffle and playing off these patterns to bring the icon to life.

The idea was to have this simple, whilst powerful, icon that we could crop and pull apart. This allowed us to have lots of scope when the brand started coming to life. By using lots of blacks, with jutting "swirls" of colour, coming in the brand materials the brand travels through all the material smoothly and consistently.

It's exciting to watch this brand grow through hard work and vision as Ben and Charmy continue to innovate and bring a new light onto the truffle scene. Watch this space as I believe we are going to see big things here!
